We are a stone's throw away from the stunning South Bay
and Spa complex overlooking the Esplanade gardens

There is so much to do in and around Scarborough you won’t know what to do first, from the safe golden sands and the lighthouse marking the entrance to the beautiful harbour marina,
to the Scarborough Sea Life Centre and Marine Sanctuary.

Castles and stately homes are scattered across the region including the magnificent Castle Howard, Scarborough Castle and Whitby Abbey. Peasholm Park near the North Bay of the town offers award winning gardens, which are illuminated in the evening, the famous ‘Naval Warfare’ recreation and a variety of boats in which you can experience the idyllic lake.

Also near the North Bay is the newly built The Sands Project, encompassing bars and restaurants, which has led to a fantastic regeneration of this area of the town.

Further afield there are many attractions within a short journey of Scarborough. Eden Camp, recreating the Second World War, Flamingo Land and the picturesque village of Thornton
Le Dale can all be reached heading towards Pickering. In Pickering itself is the famous
steam railway, allowing the passenger a picturesque tour of the Yorkshire countryside.
Along this route ‘Heartbeat Country’ can also be reached, otherwise known as the
traditional village of Goathland.

Alternatively you may be tempted to visit the historic city of York for a day or for the shopaholics amongst you the Monks Cross retail centre offers a great day out shopping.
En route to both these sites is the Oliver’s Mount area of Scarborough, offering
stunning views of our beautiful town.

On an evening why not attend one of the award winning plays the Stephen Joseph
Theatre stages, home to the renowned playwright Alan Ayckbourn.
